While I asked for quotes from multiple companies, what stood out was the timely, professional communication with the Burloak team. There was a weather delay to start, communicated professionally and easily, and once the job began I happened to be on site. The detail and quality was there (this is my first year having someone do this instead of doing it myself so I am picky and skeptical!), and clean. They ensured there was no mess left behind. Oh, and they closed the gate at the side afterwards so our dog did not have any risk. (Unlike another company who came by for a quote and left it open*).

As much slowly decomposes, you should be reapplied every 1 to 3 years to maintain its effectiveness and appearance.

The best time to install sod in the Greater Toronto Area is during the cooler months of spring or fall when temperatures are mild and there’s plenty of rain in the forecast. These weather conditions make it easier for the sod grow strong roots before the heat of summer or the cold of winter. However, sod can be installed during the summer months if it’s watered frequently and cared for.
