This can involves everything from sod installation and mulch installation to property cleanup and lawn services.

2. What is Sod?

Sod is a pre-grown layer of locally grown and harvested grass and sandy loamy soil can be laid down to quickly establish a new lawn. Kentucky Bluegrass sod, the most popular type of grass in Ontario, is a cool-season grass known for its rich colour and fine texture. 3. What is Mulch?

Mulch is a protective layer spread over soil in garden beds to retain moisture, reduce weeds and provide nutrients to plants. As much slowly decomposes, you should be reapplied every 1 to 3 years to maintain its effectiveness and appearance.

4. When is the best time to install sod?

The best time to install sod in the Greater Toronto Area is during the cooler months of spring or fall when temperatures are mild and there’s plenty of rain in the forecast.
